Oh Man! Forget the overnight parks on cities wherein auditions for American Idol are clamoring. Grab your dreams and upload it on My Space!

While others say that without Simon Cowell the American Idol is nothing and irrelevant, well, read out loud! American Idol is now on My Space.

If you have the guts to be the next Kelly Clarkson, if you happen to have the voice of Carrie Underwood or the epitome of Lee Dewyze, then hop on and log on to My Space. Your dream come true is over the Internet! Instead of an overnight park at a random city, you can now create a 40-second video and submit it to the Internet for your star performance.

The contest runs off on October 6, with entries from songs such as Billy Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine,” Keith Urban’s “Kiss a Girl” and Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.” The selected contestants will move to Los Angeles for the tryout. American Idol & Myspace are owned by News Corp, and this is one step to drum up the social network again.
