Real Angry Birds, Real Fun

Angry Birds just gets even better -- with 'real" birds invading real life.
Rovio, the creator of the Angry Birds mobile phone game, has made playing even more exciting. Angry Birds has become so popular that customized birthday cakes and plush toys were sold and even a fake movie was created. The latest is a real life version of the game.
The giant version was set up and filmed in Spain’s Plaça Nova de Terrassa to promote Deutsche Telekom’s new services. As with the mobile version, pigs and their barricades get destroyed in a rather amazing fashion as a street band plays the game’s theme song. Watch video after the break!

After banking on dolls, toy maker Mattel invests on birds and pigs.
After the company earned millions selling Barbie dolls, Mattel likely saw the potential in the one of the top-selling mobile games of the new century. During the recent CES 2011, Mattel presented an Angry Birds-branded playset called “Angry Birds: Knock On Wood.” It is consisted of plastic pieces which resemble the red, yellow and black bomb birds. Also included are wooden columns, pig pieces and slingshot launcher. There are point cards for keeping record of the score.
The Angry Birds: Knock On Wood playset will be released in May with a price tag of $15. A card-based Angry Birds game is also planned to be launched.
