Apple has officially unveiled their next generation tablet, which they simply call, the new iPad. It has spanking new features like a Retina Display, that has a 2048 x 1536 resolution, making it the most pixel packed table in the market. It also has a 9.7 inch screen that has a better color saturation. It doesn’t end here, it also has an faster and improved processor called the A5X processor and has a quad-core graphics chip.
It now has a 5 megapixels camera which they call the iSight (camera) that can shoot 1080p videos. The backside of the tablet also sports a illuminated sensor with a five element lens. Just like an android, the keyboard has a brand new diction key that allows you to speak instead of typing. It also features a new connectivity option that sports a 21Mbps HSPA+ that is also LTE radio capable. The new iPad also has a 4G version.
The new iPad will hit the markets on March 16 and will retail for $499 for its 16GB WiFi model and $829 for the 64GB version with 4G. It can also be pre-ordered in countries like US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. After being delayed several times, Lenovo is finally ready to ship its IdeaPad U1 sometime in November.
The shipping of Lenovo IdeaPad U1 was often delayed due to multiple reasons. But now that the Android and Windows-based hybrid tablet and net-book combo had successfully reached the FCC through an approval filing, there’s no turning back!
According to a letter attached in the filing, the shipping of the said device will start on November 22. Take note that this date is not yet official, as the filings often give unclear schedules. Though the company won’t be releasing the U1 on that specific date, consumers may assume that they can purchase the device around that range of time. The not-yet-released tablet features an Android system and a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor.
The IdeaPad U1 was initially publicized last January 2010, but its debut was delayed due to the release of Apple’s iPad. Lenovo updates the tablet using an Android system, instead of Linux OS, in order to stay competitive. Apple has now surpassed the $300 billion in market capitalization. This Monday at exactly 12:10 PM the price of Apple Inc. shares has grown into more than seven points to 329.75, giving the company an approximate market capitalization of $302.47 billion.
Apple has just reported that they are successful in the year 2010. With the help of the iPhone 4 and the iPad. Apple sold 3.89 million MACs, 14.1 million iPhones, 9.05 million iPods and 4.19 million iPads in the fourth quarter alone.
Eight months ago, Apple was just worth $223 billion. In just a short time, it became the world’s most valuable tech company ahead of its nemesis Microsoft. In October its value raised to $300. Apple is now six times the value of Facebook and the company has increased its value into $50 billion in just a span of six months.
