Reports spread about the glitch on the time settings of Verizon and AT&T iPhones. Whose fault is this: network or manufacturer?

The glitch occurred like this: Verizon iPhones fell back an hour at midnight rather than forward. Add to that was AT&T iPhone also experienced the same problem.

Daylight saving time happened yesterday, which actually means that people lose an hour–but with Verizon iPhone, it actually fell back an hour. This was not the first time faulty time settings happened on iPhone. In January, there were reports about alarm malfunctions on the iPhone. This incident cause iPhone users to be late for work.

New iOS 4.3 Code Hints a Dual-Core Processor for the Next iPhone?

Is it possible that the next iPhone will sport a dual-core processor?

Apple just released the latest operating system for their devices and the savvy coders from Chronic Dev found interesting leads for the next iPhone.

The coders found signs that Apple may be testing dual-core processors for the next generation of their iPhone. The iPad 2 is the first iOS to ship with the A5, the dual-core successor of A4. The A4 processor was introduced to consumers on iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 and Apple TV.

Chronic Dev’s member and iOS developer Filippo Bigarella found mention of the code: “N94AP.” A code name that signifies a soon-to-be-released iPhone based on past device code names. The N94AP was linked up to “S5L8940,” the name for the A5 within the iOS code.

Are we gonna see an iPod touch-like iPhone 5?

It seems Apple is one by one releasing their weapons for technology war. First, the company geared up for battle with iPad 2 and now, rumors about the iPhone 5 are spreading like wild fire.

This week started with one controversial news regarding the whereabouts of the iPhone 5. The Chinese community surprised Apple fans world when Taiwan’s Economic Daily News posted a leaked photo of the said device.

Reports said that Apple is in the works for a smartphone without the glass back; in exchange is panel made from aluminum. This means Apple will dicth the external antenna to make room for some internal parts. The company might likely also to issue free “bumper” guards to prevent the signal loss, the infamous glitch of the iPhone 4.

This week is the week people get to see the new generation of the iPad also known as the iPad 2. And we know you are excited about it. But wait, there’s more! There’s a rumor spreading around about the iPhone 5.

Chinese reseller of Apple parts released this photo of the digitizer panel for the alleged iPhone 5. According to tech site 9 to 5 Mac, the screen has similar construction with the iPhone 4, however, the panels are way too bigger than the previous generation. Does this mean iPhone 5 has wider and bigger screen? If that is the case, it means that the iPhone 5 is likely a major rival of Android phones.

WSJ: Nano iPhone Coming this Summer

“One of the people, who saw a prototype of a new iPhone several months ago, said the new device is intended to be sold alongside the current line of iPhones and would be about half the size of the iPhone 4." ---Wall Street Journal

Another rumor involving Apple is filling the web. However, it’s not about the iPad 2, the iPad 3, or the iPhone 5. It’s no other than the Nano iPhone.

As the Wall Street Journal published a report which came from the “people familiar with the matter”:

“One of the people, who saw a prototype of a new iPhone several months ago, said the new device is intended to be sold alongside the current line of iPhones and would be about half the size of the iPhone 4. The phone, one of its codenames is N97, would be available to mobile carriers at about half the price of Apple’s main line of iPhones, the person said.”

Apple Promotes Verizon and AT&T in a Single Ad

To avoid being biased, Apple suggests that "two is better than one."

Apple released a new TV spot which assumed its neutral ground when it comes to iPhone 4 belonging to different carriers.

The commercial is accompanied with the the iconic Blue Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss and shows two iPhone 4s side by side. The two smartphones simultaneously displays the features of an iPhone including apps, web browsing and FaceTime. The spot ends with the two handsets moving away and revealing the AT&T and Verizon logos and the words “Two is better than one.”

This commercial came after the release of Verizon’s iPhone4 advertisement which shows the anticipation of the people with the unveiling of the new CDMA iPhone 4 on Feb. 10.

iPhone Case Caught in the Wild: Is it for iPhone 5?

While people are busy with CES 2011, there is a video that will probably call the attention of many consumers soon; a video which features iPhone 5 case.

While everyone is quite busy with CES 2011 revelations, Apple stays quiet in the corner. Though its absence at CES 2011 is quite disappointing they would not allow it to be left behind. Are we sensing iPhone 5 in the air?

Boy Genius reports a YouTube video from smartphone parts firm Global Direct Parts claiming to have a glimpse of the iPhone 4 and another unreleased iPhone model. This suggests either a CDMA iPhone 4 rumored release as the famous iPhone 5. However, the presence of a SIM card slot is quite questionable. This flawed the legitimacy of the video but we can never really can tell.

The Apple Company is Worth $300 Billion

If you're dreaming of buying Apple Company and be the next Steve Jobs you might at least want to know the worth of the company. As of the moment, the company is worth $300 billion. Bigger and better.

Apple has now surpassed the $300 billion in market capitalization. This Monday at exactly 12:10 PM the price of Apple Inc. shares has grown into more than seven points to 329.75, giving the company an approximate market capitalization of $302.47 billion.

Apple has just reported that they are successful in the year 2010. With the help of the iPhone 4 and the iPad. Apple sold 3.89 million MACs, 14.1 million iPhones, 9.05 million iPods and 4.19 million iPads in the fourth quarter alone.

Eight months ago, Apple was just worth $223 billion. In just a short time, it became the world’s most valuable tech company ahead of its nemesis Microsoft. In October its value raised to $300. Apple is now six times the value of Facebook and the company has increased its value into $50 billion in just a span of six months.

Apple is now the world’s second most valuable company, bested only by Exxon Mobil Corporation’s $376 billion market capitalization. Here’s the graph exhibiting the growth of Apple.

Never before has mobile photo sharing become this hip, this cool, this fast.

We’ve been through it over and over since the dawn of social media. Taking a photo using a camera, uploading it by bluetooth, wire or wireless transfers, and then sharing it to people who might want to see it.

Instagram, Picplz, and Path have definitely redefined taking photos on mobile phones. Banking on a smartphone’s easy-to-use interface and point-and-shoot mechanic, plus the contagious spread of information through social media; these photogenic apps can add filters and enchance a photo and allow you to instantly share it to the world.

It’s no wonder more and more people are starting to move from the digicam to the mobile cam bandwagon with these three apps.
