Maldivian government hires Dutch Docklands International to build artificial islands to save citizens from rising waters, as a result of climate change

Maldives, the lowest country in the world is at risk of losing their islands, risking the lives of around 300,000 people, residing across 200 inhabited islands. The sea level surrounding the nation is increasing at a rate of around 3.3mm per year, as a result of climate change.
