AT&T Cuts iPhone 3GS Price to $49

Written on January 07, 2011 by R. Depp

In an act to make a good impression and attract some new customers, AT&T slashed the value of Apple 3GS to half its original price.

AT&T took the first step against its competitors and announced at CES the discounted price of iPhone 3GS to just $49 with two-year contract and data plan. This news was also published on the Wall Street Journal.

The price of 8G will remain at $99 until the end of the week. In addition, the telecom company also announced the release of 20 new smartphones in 2011. This is a smart move for the company since they are gradually losing the exclusivity on the iPhone. Add to that the negative feedbacks of clients about mobile reception. The company promised to improve their services by installing Wi-Fi public spots and upgrading their connection.
