Carol Bartz Steps Down from Yahoo Board of Directors

Less than a week after being fired as Yahoo's CEO, Carol Bartz has also resigned from the company's Board of Directors.

Carol Bartz, who has just been fired as Yahoo’s CEO last Tuesday, has also left her seat on the company’s board of directors. As noted by spokesperson, Charles Sipkin,s in an e-mail on Sunday: “On September 9, 2011, Carol Bartz resigned from the Board of Directors of Yahoo! Inc. effective immediately.”

Carol Bartz’s role as CEO ended last week when she was ousted from the position she had occupied for three years. After being fired, she conducted an interview with Fortune wherein she pointed out that she has no plans of leaving Yahoo’s board — a statement which contradicts Mr. Sipkins’ report. On the same interview, she called Yahoo’s board members as “doofuses” who “f**ked me over”.

According to some sources close to the company, Carol Bartz’s last day on Yahoo’s board was Friday.
