The new iPad was unveiled yesterday, boasts of great features like Retina display, LTE and A5X CPU
Apple has officially unveiled their next generation tablet, which they simply call, the new iPad. It has spanking new features like a Retina Display, that has a 2048 x 1536 resolution, making it the most pixel packed table in the market. It also has a 9.7 inch screen that has a better color saturation. It doesn’t end here, it also has an faster and improved processor called the A5X processor and has a quad-core graphics chip.
It now has a 5 megapixels camera which they call the iSight (camera) that can shoot 1080p videos. The backside of the tablet also sports a illuminated sensor with a five element lens. Just like an android, the keyboard has a brand new diction key that allows you to speak instead of typing. It also features a new connectivity option that sports a 21Mbps HSPA+ that is also LTE radio capable. The new iPad also has a 4G version.
The new iPad will hit the markets on March 16 and will retail for $499 for its 16GB WiFi model and $829 for the 64GB version with 4G. It can also be pre-ordered in countries like US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. U.S. court denies Apple's request to block sales of Samsung Galaxy devices
“It is not clear that an injunction on Samsung’s accused devices would prevent Apple from being irreparably harmed,” U.S. judge wrote in a decision that came out last Friday, December 2, denying Apple’s appeal for a preliminary injunction against Samsung and from stopping it from selling Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The two companies have been battling it out in court since April, when Apple Inc filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung for ‘slavishly’ copying and using a number of technologies off its iPad and iPhone.Read the rest of the article »

The advertisement of the Motorola Xoom tablet showed the historic 1984 spot courtesy of Apple. However, this time, it’s their turn to throw the hammer. Xoom tag line goes like this:
“The Tablet to Create a Better World.”
The commercial features the the multi-touch capability of Xoom and it also hinted superb graphic power. It is just a taste of what Xoom can bring, and it looks like it posts a huge threat against iPad.

Apple’s CEO and big boss Steve Jobs once again took a leave of absence from the company due to medical reasons.Jobs, who took a leave during the first six months of 2009 for a liver transplant sent the following email to his staff. Here’s the exact email written by Jobs:
At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.

Oh yes! The much-awaited Verizon iPhone is now here. Big Red subscribers can place their pre-orders on February 3 while non-subscribers can have it on February 10.
Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam confirmed a CDMA version of iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless next month. Current Verizon subscribers will be able to pre-order on February 3 for a standard price of $200 for the 16GB model and a two year deal while $300 for the 32GB. Everyone outside the Big Red will be able to order on February 10.
Outside the Verizon connectivity, the iPhone is unchanged, though Verizon’s CDMA network doesn’t support simultaneous voice as the GSM. It carries the long been rumored new antenna design. There will also be a slight modification which equates to a slight bump in the volume and mute switch so it requires a new case.
