Researchers from University of Rochester and University Toronto conducted studies that may very well prove that video games can help develop a person’s skills in attention, vision, and particular aspects of cognition. This means they can see details better, can keep focus longer, and then some. Top that with a bag of chips and we’re ready to party.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Issues Solved

Written on December 16, 2010 by R. Depp

Though the patch turned out to be a fail, a Call of Duty user finally found out the remedy to the multi player connection problem on Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Treyarch delivered a Call of Duty: Black Ops patch 1.04 to the Playstation 3 today to remedy the many issues concerning player connections. However, the patch seemed not effective since many gamers are still complaining about the same problems.

After people on forums succumbed to find the solution, a fortunate thing happened when a Call of Duty user stlcardinal9sr posted the following set of instruction that he claimed will resolve the problem.

In the XMB delete your game save data and game data utility for Black Ops, all of your online stats will still be there, you will lose single player stats though, I decided to check this and found that the patch actually loaded into game save data and not where it should have in GAME DATA UTILITY…After deleting and redownloading everything works like it should!!!!

Steps to do this:

1. in the XMB under games where you would click on the disk to load black ops scroll up to where it says saved data utility.
2. delete this data, what will happen is you will lose all of your campaign progress and on your custom classes you will lose whatever you have named them but all of your classes will be the same and no online progress will be lost. just rename them
3. scroll up a little more to game data utility and click it and delete the black ops data, you will NOT lose any online progress.
4. now go reload the game up and it will require you to redownload the patch and you should be up and running.

This solution is worth a try before the problem ruin your gameplay.

Someone finally uncovered the secret code of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Just a word of advice: this will spoil your game so better think twice if you want to see the secret code.

The secret code for the Call of Duty: Black Ops does exists and someone already figured out how to crack it. That someone is 01Maverick10, a YouTube user who discovered and cracked the code plus created a video to help other gamers.

On the video, he mentioned about the a ‘designated code’ and a ‘transmission number.’ The secret code can be found there.

First things first, the ‘designate code’ is in military phonetic. Read the code according to the number of levels and consider only the first letter to reveal the initial part of the code. Uncovering certain characters means being on the right track. On the other hand, the ‘transmission number’ is converted to number and dashes. Each number pertains to a letter in the alphabet and the dashes as spaces. Knowing these things, a gamer will be able to decipher the entire secret message.

See how 01MaverickTen10 make it all happen after the skip.

Never mind the discrepancy on the initial estimate of Activision about the sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops. The more important thing is the video game made history by selling 5.6 million copies in the span of 24 hours.

Activision made the wrong assessment that Call of Duty: Black Ops would not reach the  success of the franchise Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. But that is the last thing the company need to think about after earning $360 million dollars within 24 hours.

The game made a mark in the video game entertainment history after selling 5.6 million copies in the first day. It shattered the record of Modern Warfare 2 which has recorder 4.7 million copies sold within 24 hours.

The company already is making ways to attend to the huge demand of the people. Add to that the full steam of upcoming sales for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holiday season.
