Carol Bartz received a phone call from Yahoo Chairman, Roy Bostock, informing her that she was being terminated as the company's CEO.

Sources close to the company confirmed that Carol Bartz’ job as Yahoo! CEO has ended last Tuesday. She managed to send an email to all her former co-employees using her iPad telling them that her resignation was not voluntary, and that she was terminated by the company’s Chairman – Roy Bostock – through a phone call.

Carol Bartz – whose tenure was marked by poor sales revenue – lost share to competitors and several conflicts with Asian partners. She took over the position way back in January 2009. Since her term, the California-based company produced frustrated investors, and even failed to outrun Google Inc. and Facebook Inc.

As part of Yahoo’s plans of reviving their advertising rates and lost investors, they have appointed Chief Financial Officer – Tim Morse – to be the interim CEO, and asked an “executive leadership council” to help them fill the void until they found a new and permanent CEO.

For one reason, they can’t give market phones that will make “equal rivalry” with the iPhone and a great line of Android Phones all for the love of smartphones. What makes this news best is that, rumor has it that Nokia is searching for a new CEO. The search for a new chief executive officer for the company, but there are no amiable response from Nokia. The rumor remains a rumor for now. But come to think of it, we shall say that the “fire” wouldn’t ignite if there is no smoke. The current CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, gives us no apparent attempts whatsoever to catch up in the market rise with Apple, HTC, LG and Samsung still on the “best” smartphone battle for the past few years, and Nokia is basically a “has-been” in America. And when you’re not in the program for a smartphone, you’re loosing touch to the latest technology.
