All 33 Chilean Miners Brought Back to Ground Safely

All’s well that ends well. This is even an understatement for the safe recovery of the 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for two months. This incident set the record as the longest underground tragedy in history but fortunately, it ended safely.

One by one, the Chilean miners were lifted form the earth last Wednesday while inside a capsule which passed through a smooth-walled rock.

The group that were trapped was led by shift foreman named Luis Urzua. “We have done what the entire world was waiting for,” he said after being the last person to be saved. “We had strength, we had spirit, we wanted to fight, we wanted to fight for our families, and that was the greatest thing.”
