Christina Aguilera Messes Up Lyrics of National Anthem

Burlesque star Christina Aguilera botched the national anthem during the opening act at Super Bowl in Texas last Sunday.
Pop icon Christina Aguilera struggled on her performance of the national anthem during the Super Bowl opening. According to AP, Aguilera sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming” instead of “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.”
The assignment of singing Francis Scott Key’s “The Star-Spangled Banner” was granted to Aguilera last January 24. “I have been performing the anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true,” she said.
But it seemed that dream ended in a failure. Other stars who sung the national anthem in the past Super Bowl events are Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles and Carrie Underwood.
