People learn what's the latest entertainment with their Facebook and Twitter tweeps. Thanks to social media, TV viewers can watch altogether virtually!

The days of shouting your opinion at the television screen or laughing out loud at your couch alone is over. Nowadays, people are virtually watching TV shows together. According to a survey conducted by TVGuide.com, 62% of their audience would engage to Twitter or Facebook before a television show starts and 69% after. And the obvious reason for doing so is to post their insights and be social.

Based on the respondents, NCIS is the most social television show, followed by American Idol and Criminal Minds. Coming in at number four is Glee, while Hawaii Five-O did not make it to the list.

As posted by TVGuide.com, the ten most social television shows of the season are as follows:

1. NCIS
2. American Idol
3. Criminal Minds
4. Glee
5. House
6. Fringe
7. Bones
8. Castle
9. Smallville
10. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
