Gartner stated that Apple is the only PC manufacturer based on Western Europe which continuously grows.

During a continent wide breakdown on Wednesday, Gartner stated that Apple was the only major computer manufacturer – based in Western Europe – that continuously grows. Apple increased its shipment by half a percent, hitting 7% of the market. Meanwhile, other Windows-based PC makers such as HP, Delli, and Acer dropped in the same period of time.

The said pattern was the same from one country to another. Apple gained share in the UK and had a boost in France where its raw shipments increased up to 6.4 points to reach 5.8% — enough to put it in the top five for the first time. Samsung was one of the few others to see an upside in any area, but it was only registered in the top five in France.
