Skype Unleashes Video Calls for Limited Android Devices

Good news for selected Android smartphone owners! Skype just rolled out a new version of their video calls app for Android.

Skype has released an update of its Android app, which brings video calls to selected batch of Android devices. The Skype video calls for Android will be available for Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro. But as more smartphones are having front-facing camera and being updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, expect the list of compatible device to grow longer.

Skype is following other companies, like Netflix and Hulu, to make previously unavailable apps accessible to limited devices. Check out the video after the break, to know more about Skype’s new version of video calls for Android.

HTC Unveils Three New Smartphones at MWC 2011

HTC just showcased three new Android-powered smartphones at MWC 2011 yesterday. Check out what these new mobile devices have to offer.

The HTC Corporation announced three new Android smartphones at MWC 2011 in Barcelona, Spain yesterday. The new smartphones were HTC Desire S, Incredible S, and Wildfire S. All three of them are descendants of HTC’s previous flagship smartphones, and packed with HTC Sense User Interface.

In addition to this, it was already announced that Vodafone will be stocking all of these three Android smartphones from HTC, and will start shipping in European and Asian markets by Q2 2011. However, no information on how much the new smartphones will cost is out yet.
