Social Software Researcher, Brynn Evans, Hired by Google

Another PARC genius moved to Google, as Brynn Evans becomes a part of the search engine giant's UX design team.
Brynn Evans, a former PARC visiting social software researcher, announced yesterday that she was hired by Google to join the special product group of the UX design team. Trained as a cognitive scientist at Stanford and UC San Diego, she was encouraged to interview by former collaborator and PARC Principal Scientist, Ed Chi. Ed Chi was also hired by Google earlier this year.
If ever that the search engine giant will challenge Facebook and Twitter in social software, then hiring leading thinkers would make perfect sense and could be an important part of the company’s strategy. Now all true blue Internet users will just have to wait and see on what’s cooking inside Google’s kitchen.
