Young Egyptian Father Names Daughter “Facebook”

As a way to express his gratitude for social media, an Egyptian father named his daughter “Facebook.” Mark Zuckerberg must be grateful.
Thinking about the role social network played the turmoil in the past weeks, a man in Egypt named his newborn daughter “Facebook.”
The man is Gamal Ibrahim, a young father who, according to the Egypt broadsheet, Al-Ahram, decided to give such name to his daughter “to express his joy at the achievements made by the January 25 youth.”
The use of social media was very prominent during the time of protest to oust President Hosni Mubarak, who was holding the same position for the past 30 years.
