Facebook Gives Focus on Mobile this 2011

Facebook’s CTO Bret Taylor speaks of the company’s mobile platform this 2011, pointing the focus on delivering consistent user experience in its mobile franchise. During the Inside Social Apps conference in San Fo today, Taylor revealed that Facebook will be re-invent their mobile websites and apps.
Facebook has several mobile platforms. Not only for major smartphones iPhone, BlackBerry and Android but they also gave m.facebook.com to other mobile phones, touch.facebook.com for touch-based devices and the 0.facebook.com. The 0.facebook.com is a free Facebook data sharing designed for countries with expensive wireless connections.
Taylor said that the company’s goals for 2011 includes standard look and feel for applications and mobile sites. He also said that HTML5 will be playing a big role in achieving consistent user experience.
