Guinness Names Kinect as the Fastest-Selling Consumer Electronics Device

And you didn't see this coming! Kinect declared as the world's fastest-selling device.
What’s the fastest selling device in the world? Sorry Apple but it’s not the iPad, it’s Kinect.
Guinness World Records, the global authority when it comes to recording groundbreaking stunts, confirmed today that Kinect for Xbox 360 is the fastest-selling Consumer electronics device. The controller-free hardware sold an average of 133,333 units per day; it meant a total of 8 million units sold in its first 60 days on sale from November 4, 2010 to January 3, 2011.
Microsoft is counting on the device to keep at bay the competition against Nintendo Co. and Sony Corp. It is also their ticket to bigger profit in the business and to freshen up the concept of Xbox gaming.
