The Obamas Earned Two-thirds Less in 2010
President Barrack Obama and his family earned almost $2 million for 2010, which is about two-thirds less than their 2009's gross income.
President Barrack Obama and his family reported an adjusted gross income of $1,728,096 for 2010. That is about two-thirds less than their almost $5 million earnings in 2009. In addition to this, The Obamas paid $453,770 for federal taxes and donated 14% of their income to various charities — including Fisher House Foundation.
President Barrack Obama earns $400,000 for his day job. His paycheck was much bigger, because his books – Dreams from My Father, The Audacity of Hope, and Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters – still register strong sales. The US president is donating the proceeds from his Of Thee I Sing to Fisher House Foundation’s scholarship fund for children of fallen and disabled soldiers.
President Barrack Obama said in his speech last week that top earners, including himself, should pay higher taxes.
