World’s Largest Message Written Through a GPS Device

It took the man who wrote it 12,238 miles and a road trip to 30 states across the U.S. His big message: Read Ayn Rand. It is a message as "big" as its target recipient (the world at large?) it can only be read through Google Earth.
“The main reason I did it is because I am an Ayn Rand fan. In my opinion if more people would read her books and take her ideas seriously, the country and world would be a better place – freer, more prosperous and we would have a more optimistic view of the future.”
Nick Newcomen explained his 30-day pursuit to scrawl a message so “big” it can only be read by Google Earth. But before hitting the road, the GPS artist devised a plan that would take him from the pole of the Pacific Ocean to the pole of the Atlantic Ocean.
First, he routed his trip by checking which points on the map would he need to pass through to “ink” his message. He installed a GPS device in his car to trace those points. And then off he went. The GPS data was loaded into Google Earth resulting to the image above (image credits: gizmodo.com).
