Grand Rapids Residents Prove Their City is Not Dying

"It's a remarkable video that truly shows off the sense of community and pride of Grand Rapids residents…”

Back in January, the website MainStreet.com included Grand Rapids, Michigan one of the ten “dying cities” of America. Add to that shame was Newsweek posted the story on their website.

To prove all their detractors wrong, 5,000 residents of Grand Rapids come together to break the existing world record for largest lip dub. The people of Grand Rapids lip synch the Don McLean hit “American Pie.”

Rob Bliss, director and executive producer of the production said, “We disagreed strongly [with the article] and wanted to create a video that encompasses the passion and energy we all feel is growing exponentially in this great city.”
