"The new GeForce GTX 570 delivers the world's fastest DX11 performance in its class, and is up to 128 percent faster in today's newest DX11 tessellated games." ---NVIDIA

NVIDIA may be unpredictable sometimes. Following the release of GF110-based GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB last month, NVIDIA flexes their muscles with the abrupt release of the cheaper follow-up, in the name of GeForce GTX 570 1.3GB.

Does it rings a bell? The GTX 480 1.5GB used the same, with the last SM (Streaming Multiprocessor, or block of 32 stream processors) of the GPU’s design disabled.
