Avatar 2 Explores the Deep Waters

After Sanctum, James Cameron will take moviegoers to another underwater adventure; this time with the Na’Vi tribe.
Actress Michelle Rodriguez, who played an Air Force sergeant in the first Avatar film, revealed some juicy detail about the coming sequel.
Rodriguez said that Avatar 2 will explore the deep waters which will be presented in an extraordinary manner.
Though the actress has things to say about the film sequel, there is no confirmation yet if she is still part of the cast. However, she hopes director James Cameron will invite her to visit the movie set.
Underwater 3D footages are not new to James Cameron. He was the executive producer of the underwater cave adventure entitled ‘Sanctum.’

Film outfit, 20th Century Fox, made the nod for James Cameron to start working on Avatar sequels. The two back-to-back movies will likely to hit theaters on 2014 and 2015.
Fox made it official today that James Cameron’s next two masterpieces, Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 will kick-off its production next year. The release of the Avatar sequels are planned for December 2014 and 2015, respectively. This news also answers the question whether Cameron will direct the 3D Cleopatra film which will star Angelina Jolie. Another rumor spreading its that Fox have to provide “huge donation” to environmental charities in order for Cameron to get the project going, which is not a bad favor after all.

“In the second and third films, which will be self contained stories that also fulfill a greater story arc, we will not back off the throttle of AVATAR’s visual and emotional horsepower, and will continue to explore its themes and characters, which touched the hearts of audiences in all cultures around the world. I’m looking forward to returning to Pandora, a world where our imaginations can run wild.”

Director James Cameron admits he is ambitious when it comes to film projects. As for the Avatar, he says it is capable to compete with both the Star Wars and Tolkien Universe.
James Cameron is looking forward to expand the Avatar storyline. Though the sequel is far behind, the director is gearing to release the movie in 3-disc Blu-Ray next month and turn it also into a novel.
If things go according to plan, the next two Avatar movies will be shot back-to-back and be shown a year apart. For the meantime, Cameron is busy working on the Avatar novel. He referred to this books as “a big project,” and not solely based on the film. It contains unseen plots and characters which he hopes to inspire other artists and writers to make their own Avatar spin-offs.
