Something strange was spotted at Mass Effect 2's patch for PS3. Does this have something to do Mass Effect 3?

With BioWare’s extended post-launch support for Mass Effect 2, releasing more downloadable content for the RPG is not surprising at all. But what’s intriguing is the Arrival DLC that comes with ME 2’s PS3 patch.

Yet to be announced by BioWare and EA, the PS3 patch for Mass Effect 2 contains three new Arrival DLC trophies (The Ultimate Sacrifice, Last Stand and Covert Action). The revelation makes the members of the official Mass Effect forum speculate about what contents might Arrival DLC have. Is BioWare making bridges for the upcoming Mass Effect 3? Little Big Planet 2 takes the spotlight this week as it makes its grand debut, Mass Effect 2 and Plants vs Zombies releases may get a share of attention as well.

The video game industry may get some sale spikes this week in the charts as we get a pretty impressive roster of games, and when we say impressive, we only mean Little Big Planet 2. Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Sackboy that we loved and created amazing game levels is back with bigger and better game features plus a couple of exciting adventures that will spark our Little Big Planet addiction back to life. But we’ll be also getting some pretty nice games as well this week as Mass Effect 2 breaks into the PS3; plus Plants vs Zombies makes its much anticipated (and much delayed) release in Nintendo 3DS.

BioWare, to Release More Contents for Mass Effect 2

BioWare plans to release one more downloadable content package for Mass Effect 2 this year. They also added that Cerberus Network news updates will cease this month on Jan. 24.

Game developer, BioWare, announced that they plan to release another downloadable content package for Mass Effect 2 this year. The upcoming contents will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3 on the holiday season of this year. Mass Effect 2 has its fair share of post-release contents and weapon pack downloads. Overlord, Kasumi – Stolen Memory and Lair of the Shadow Broker expanded the game’s storyline.

Alan Wake Takes the Top Spot on Time

From top ten tweets to top ten viral videos, Time Magazines is counting down the most unforgettable happenings of 2010. Of course, the publication did not forget about video games.

Time Magazine kept their tradition of listing the top ten everything of 2010 and included favorite video games from the last twelve months.

The top games are as follows:

The video game which stole the top spot is Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake. The game is a psychological thriller game developed for Xbox 360. Writer Evan Narcisse has all the good things to say about the game. “Its mix of meta-awareness and Hitchcockian suspense make Alan Wake a unique and fun experiment and one of the best games of the year.”

The plot of the game revolves around Alan Wake, a thriller writer, who has to deal with the mysterious disappearance of his wife and with the characters and ideas of his latest novel.
