Netflix Encounters Streaming Issues with Apple TV

Bad news for Apple TV users! Netflix is having a movie streaming glitch for Apple TV.

A number of Apple TV customers were unable to stream Netflix movies to their devices. In relation to this, a spokesperson confirmed that a small number of Apple TV devices were having technical issues. However, Netflix pointed that the glitch has been fixed.

Users who were experiencing difficulties over the weekend received Error 111, 112 or 115 whenever they attempt to use the movie streaming service. However, the menu screen is still accessible. Meanwhile, other users were able to access Netflix on other non-Apple TV devices like iPhone, iPod and MacBook Pro. It also seems that the glitch is experiences with majority of Apple TV 2 owners.

Ready for the Facebook movie date?

Warner Bros. surprised us earlier this month with the release of The Dark Knight on the social network, Facebook. To follow up on that release, they announced five more movies to add up with the collection.

As originally announced, Inception is now available for streaming on the movie’s official page, together with the first two Harry Potter installments (The Sorcerer’s Stone and The Chamber of Secrets), Yogi Bear and Katherine Heigl’s chick flick, Life As We Know It.

Netflix Inc. Deals with NU Image/Millennium Films

Netflix got a studio reach deal with NU Image/Millennium Films! The film industry agrees for online streaming of their movies via Netflix, though financial terms are not yet disclosed. Are you part of the community already?

Though financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed yet, Netflix Inc. reached an agreement with NU Image/Millennium Films to license first-run theatrical movies for online streaming. Streaming goes during the “pay TV window,” when the film is usually available on premium TV channels. The film company stated that they would supply the movie-rental group with five to ten movies a year, a few months after the DVD release. NU Image employed a delayed release strategy to online platforms to protect their theatrical and DVD revenue. Millenium Films is best known for action and thriller movies like “The Expendables” and “Brooklyn’s Finest.”
