Mark Zuckerberg Meets Eisenberg and Samberg: The “Zuckerbergs”

Written on January 31, 2011 by B Waldorf

The real Zuckerberg meets the two other "Bergs" at Saturday Night Live.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg surprised everyone when he appeared on Saturday Night Live. He joked around with the actor who played him in the movie ‘The Social Network’, Jesse Eisenberg.

The audience of the program got a triple dose of Zuckerberg as Oscar nominee and guest host Eisenberg stepped into the spotlight to do the opening monologue. He was joined after a few minutes by another “Zukerberg-wannabe,” Andy Samberg. The biggest surprise was the appearance of the man himself, the real Mark Zuckerberg. It surprised Eisenberg so much he looked somewhat “nervous.” Eisenbrg redeemed himself when he asked Zuckerberg if he has seen the movie, the latter answered with, “it’s interesting.” T’was vague but not bad.

Zuckerberg showed up thrice in the show, one in a brief backstage stint with Executive Producer Lorne Michaels; second, the ‘awkward’ first time meet-up of the other two “Zuckerbergs;” and lastly, the obligatory SNL goodbye waltz wherein Mark and Jesse had a seemingly heartfelt hug to show that let bygones be bygones.

Don’t miss out the party, watch the embedded videos after the skip.

SNL Premieres Again, Amy Poehler Hosts

Written on September 09, 2010 by Rudfer Tyron

Saturday Night Live bares new episodes, a new season and most likely new antics to anticipate, and Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler is fore-running it all.

The show’s NBC comeback premieres on September 25 with Amy Poehler as host and Katy Perry as musical guest, according to Entertainment Weekly. Fast trivia: Amy Poehler springboarded herself into SNL pool way back in the 2001-2002 season, where Reese Witherspoon was the host in one of the post-9/11 episodes.

Parks’ Leslie Knope is also a four-time Emmy nominee, while the late-night comedy show is marking its 36th year on NBC. The list of cast extends four spots longer with the addition of actor/comedian Taran Killam, Chicago-based comedians Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer and Jay Pharoah, who is relatively the new kid in the block.

Catch what Poehler and gang have been cooking up for us at the end of the month on NBC. Have some good laughs!
