Good news! The Nokia Ovi Store just got an over-the-air update yesterday, making all Symbian 5th edition and Maemo-based apps compatible to Symbian^3.

Nokia just gave its Ovi Store an over-the-air update yesterday! This upgrade will enable a full Arabic support for the store and Qt-based app installation. That said, Symbian 5th edition and Maemo apps will now be Symbian^3 compatible.

Rumors spreading that Nokia is in search of a new CEO. Will this change make the company competitive enough to join in the smartphone battle?

Nokia, a Global Market Share awardee, is in fire right now. When we say fire, they are burning hot with issues. For one reason, they can’t give market phones that will make “equal rivalry” with the iPhone and a great line of Android Phones all for the love of smartphones. What makes this news best is that, rumor has it that Nokia is searching for a new CEO. The search for a new chief executive officer for the company, but there are no amiable response from Nokia. The rumor remains a rumor for now. But come to think of it, we shall say that the “fire” wouldn’t ignite if there is no smoke. The current CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, gives us no apparent attempts whatsoever to catch up in the market rise with Apple, HTC, LG and Samsung still on the “best” smartphone battle for the past few years, and Nokia is basically a “has-been” in America. And when you’re not in the program for a smartphone, you’re loosing touch to the latest technology.
