‘The Smurfs’ 3D is Coming

See the small blue creatures come to life in the summer movie 'The Smurfs' in 3D.

The film gives a new light to the former comic book characters created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo. The story revolves around the Smurfs who was chased away from their villages by the evil wizard Gargamel. The Smurfs found themselves in New York and meet a young couple along the way. The must find a way to head back home before Gargamel finds them.

Neil Patrick Harris and Glee’s Jayma Mays as a young couple who helped the lost Smurfs. Just Jared listed down the stars who lend their voices for the movie: Katy Perry (as Smurfette), Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin (as Clumsy Smurf), The Office’s B.J. Novak (as Baker Smurf), X-Men’s Alan Cumming (as Gutsy Smurf), George Lopez (as Grouchy Smurf), Jonathan Winters (as Papa Smurf), and Hank Azaria (as Gargamel).

The new film is set to hit theaters on August 3rd! Watch the trailer after the jump.

Are you ready for some "Smurfing" hot iPhone game?

If you enjoyed Facebook’s Farmville greatly, then here’s another game to give you some sleepless nights — The Smurfs Village.

This game is absolutely addictive. Reiterating the fact that during its release, it toppled down Angry Birds on the top free apps on the App Store. Aside from it being offered for free, it does not require Internet connection. To know more about this mobile game, read on:

Gargamel, Papa Smurf, Smurfette — familiar?

The storyline of the game goes like this:

“Gargamel found the Smurfs’ village and scattered the Smurfs far and wide. With Papa Smurf’s guidance, it’s up to you to build a new village for the Smurfs to call home.”

The Smurfs game is based on the original cartoon and comic art. Players begin with a single mushroom house and a lone plowed land. Progress starts as you complete the number of coins in each level. In order to earn more coins, you build more houses, plants crops and play mini games.
