Facebook updates its photo viewer, now allows high-resolution photos and full-screen view.

Facebook has rolled out a couple of new updates for its photo viewer. Starting today, the photo viewer will automatically display images in the highest resolution possible that could go “up to four times” bigger on a large display.

It also includes a full-screen mode that gives an expanded view of those hi-res images that takes up your entire screen.

PlayBook OS 2.0 is finally up for Major Updates to the software system.

The new version OS for BlackBerry PlayBook is now finally up and can be download via PlayBook Davice. If you own a BlackBerry PlayBook, just go to Settings > Software Updates > Check for Updates and you should find PlayBook OS 2.0 available for wireless download. Follow the instructions on screen to finish the easy installation process.

Xperia Neo Gets Android 2.3.4 Update

Sony Ericsson rolls out the Android 2.3.4 to Xperia Neo ahead of schedule!

Albeit recently rolled out Xperia phones were meant to receive Android 2.3.4 update sometime in October, Sony Ericsson decided to release it ahead of schedule. The first handset to benefit from this generosity is the Xperia Neo, which now runs the firmware version 4.0.1.A.0.283.

Other than Google Talk video calls, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will also get features like 3D Sweep Panorama, swipe-based text input, built-in screen capture function, and enhanced Facebook integration.

If you’re a Xperia Neo owner and you haven’t received the update yet, fire up the software update utility on your PC and check if your device has received the iteration. Once you’re done, don’t forget to share your findings at the comments.

Gingerbread on HTC Desire is a Go

Good work, HTC! You managed to solve the RAM puzzle, didn't you?

After announcing last Tuesday that HTC Desire is not qualified for an Android 2.3 update, the company suddenly changed their mind. It appears that they were able to solve the RAM puzzle eventually, and they will be rolling out the Gingerbread in the future.

As it turns out, the people’s voice matter, and the enormous pressure generated from last Tuesday’s statement made HTC to reconsider. At least, they were able to find a reason to keep the Desire on the market, rather than ditch the handset for dead. Well done, HTC!

Sony Ericsson has just released another update for its Xperia X10, but it's not the Gingerbread release everyone was hoping for.

Sony Ericsson just released another firmware update for its Xperia X10, bringing in a number of major changes in the handset. However, it is not the Gingerbread release that everybody was anticipating for.

The update version 2.1.B.0.1 claims to boost screen responsiveness and general performance. It includes new baseband, which strengthens the signal and in-call sound quality. The package also makes switching from 2G to 3G network even faster, and initiating calls take shorter time. A change in battery is also noticeable, although some claims that it’s for the better while others refute it. The update also enables voice integration to almost anywhere it is necessary.

Samsung Galaxy Tab user can now update their tablet to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread version. An insider from SamFirmware also confirmed this, stating that the tab is now getting updates to Android 2.3.3 and the rom should be online later today or tomorrow. Reported first at Androidiani and confirmed by users from XDA-Dev, users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab from Italy can update their Galaxy Tab over KIES to Android 2.3.3.

The firmware version of KIES is : P1000XXJPZ.
