Join AllWeLike as we uncover the truth about the iPhone 4 belonging to competing networks.

Last week, we welcomed the announcement of Verizon iPhone 4 to the world. It will be out in less than a month to the Verizon 3G network. But many wonder, will it be better than the AT&T iPhone 4?

We can smell the between the two networks. To help you out in choosing the right network to trust, All We Like gathered the most important information about the two networks and their own versions of the story.

What can AT&T do?

AT&T is popular for using GSM or the Global System for Mobile Communications. A network technology infrastructure capable of handling voice and data at the same time. However it is only connected to 1 tower at a time which results to a “hard handoff” from tower to tower. This causes the increase of dropped calls and reduces the stability of voice network on phone calls.

Oh yes! The much-awaited Verizon iPhone is now here. Big Red subscribers can place their pre-orders on February 3 while non-subscribers can have it on February 10.

The rumor about the Verizon iPhone is finally confirmed. Verizon iPhone 4 is now official. After the long wait, Apple and Verizon fulfilled the dreams of many people: iPhone is coming to the Big Red.

Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam confirmed a CDMA version of iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless next month. Current Verizon subscribers will be able to pre-order on February 3 for a standard price of $200 for the 16GB model and a two year deal while $300 for the 32GB. Everyone outside the Big Red will be able to order on February 10.

Outside the Verizon connectivity, the iPhone is unchanged, though Verizon’s CDMA network doesn’t support simultaneous voice as the GSM. It carries the long been rumored new antenna design. There will also be a slight modification which equates to a slight bump in the volume and mute switch so it requires a new case.

We've talked in a previous article that Verizon is most probably carrying iPhone by next year. We reported about chipsets and all. And now New York Times printed some more juicy news.

A source that claims to be in direct contact with Apple has something to reveal. According to the source, Apple is into adapting iPhone 4 to work with Verizon’s wireless network. It also says Verizon customers can access iPhone early next year. The New York Times also cited the source making it more credible. About two months ago, we’ve written an article about the chip sets for the Verizon iPhone that should arrive December. Even Bloomberg reported a January launch.

Some analysts had a prediction about the rumored five-year exclusivity deal between Apple and AT&T, and Verizon’s 4G technology will hold Verizon iPhone until 2012.

Let’s see if these sources are true to their words.

Verizon recently faced complaints from 15 million customer about a service that should be free of charge. In return, the company is giving out $50 million worth of refunds to affected customers.

Verizon Wireless realized that 15 million customers had filed charges against a data network use that should be free. The refund ranges from $3-$6 but some will receive more than that.

Don’t get too excited when you receive your bill with a check, it’s just your refund and not anything else. According to Verizon Deputy General Counsel Mary Coyne, these charges were due to the services that should be free of charge. All the refunds will be received by who those didn’t acquire a data plan.

According to The Wall Street Journal, a total of $50 million refunds will be issued.

Here’s the complete statement from Verizon on the issue:

Droid Pro Discovered

Written on August 26, 2010 by Rudfer Tyron

Stories spring Web-wide that Verizon Wireless is about to release the hatch for yet another Droid phone, which has no other name than the Droid Pro.

This is not the tweaked Droid X for the hopefuls out there, but it is for real. We are not speculating for a new phone, and yet we should not if it is for a new phone to cure our Droid-invoked miseries, particularly from the Droid 2.

The recently released updated version of the original Droid is sleek and sound, compared to the summer-released Droid X. But reviewers tossed up and mixed their love and hate for the device. The novel Motoblur interface has been applauded by some people on the sphere. Its failure to innovate on the down-side issues of the first Droid has been remarkable.

This is the scene where the Droid Pro will have to prove itself, it cannot be helped. Fellows from Engadget said it is a global version of the Droid 2 in essence. Rigged with both GSM and CDMA radios, the Droid Pro will be “identical to the current Droid 2 in every way except for the fact that it houses a GSM / HSPA radio for global roaming,” according to Engadget’s Chris Ziegler.
