First 7-Inch Honeycomb Tablet from ViewSonic

Looks like ViewSonic will be beating everyone else by releasing the world’s first 7-inch tablet running on Android Honeycomb with its ViewPad 7x.

ViewSonic is getting ready to launch the first 7-inch tablet, powered by Android Honeycomb, according to a report by Pocket-lint.

Weighing 380 grams and sporting a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, dual cameras, a HDMI port and HSPA+ support, Viewsonic‘s “ViewPad 7x” fits quite well with trying out the Honeycomb waters in 7-inch format. However, it’s still yet to be announcec whether the device will have Honeycomb 3.1 or the previous 3.0 version.

The ViewPad 7x is expected to be officially launched on the last day of this month at the 2011 Computex Fair in Tapei.

ViewSonic officially announced today the release of its energy efficient nettop pc VOT125 PC mini. It is sold as a space saving pc that looks very cute at starts with a price of $499.

The VOT126 comes with a 250 GB hard drive, 2GB of memory, four USB ports, DVI and HDMI. It uses a ultra low power Intel ULV CPU, consumes 90 percent less power and 90 percent less plastic compared to other nettops. You can buy one starting today.
