Yahoo! Something is new with Yahoo! Mail from header to footer. Or is it just the new executive vice president talking?

Blake Irving, Yahoo’s new executive vice president and chief product officer, unveiled the latest delineation of the site at the company’s headquarters during the Product Runway event. According to the exec, Yahoo! Mail users will see the new design this fall. The re-architected Yahoo Mail sports a faster user experience, working in multiple devices. It will also have SMS and instant messaging integration in the inbox, and Facebook and Twitter updates on the landing page. The company also has plans to prominently blend news and entertainment contents in their search results, but it seems to be a mere strategy-oriented presentation from the vice president.
