Facebook chief executive works hard to fend off Google’s effort to dominate the social network scene.

Last June, rumors spread like wildfire that Google is preparing for a social network war with Facebook. The project was dubbed as Google Me, and it was later on became more certain after the search giant acquired Slide, a social app maker.

Other gadget sites like TeleCrunch speculated that it is an exclusive war between Google and Facebook. The site added that its spearheaded by Vice President of Engineering Vic Gundotra.
